The Program provides financial aid to businesses and in general to private sector employers in order to hire unemployed persons aged 16-24 years old entering the labour market for the first time. The businesses/employers who will join the Program will receive as a subsidy the amount of their social security contributions. The subsidy has duration of twelve (12) months and it may be extended for a period of another 12 months, provided that the work experience contract is converted into employment contract.
The unemployed persons to be hired by the businesses which will join the Program shall:
- Be newcomers to the labour market, aged 16-24 years old, and they shall not have more than one hundred and fifty (150) days of insurance contributions.
- Retain the status of unemployed and have a valid unemployment voucher.
- Be Greek citizens or citizens of another EU Member State or persons of Greek origin who have a right of residence and employment in the country.
- Have filled in the standard form of individual approach and have agreed to an individual action plan.
